June 18, 2015. Ferry to Newfoundland at St Barbe of Isle

It was great to wake up to a hot shower and hair washing. We got a late start but only had to make it to the ferry line up by 9:30AM. 

Lyrics to Ode t.o Labrador as posted on the ferry.  Boarded the ferry to St. Barbe, Newfoundland. $25 for 1.5 hour to cross the Stait of Belle Isle. Rosie bought a little bottle of Screech. So much firewood cut along the way. Drove to L'Anse aux Meadows to the first Viking Settlement in North America, 1000 A.D. 

There are so many stacks of wood along the roads in Newfoundland Labrador. Individuals have their own sections and they sell the wood or use it themselves. Everyone knows whose section is whose.
