Hwy 500E to Churchhill Falls. Bowmen Walking Trail on the Churchill River 120 KM before the falls. (So we thought at the time. We needed to walk 10-15 more minutes and that is THE Churchill Falls that was to be a highlight of the day. What we saw was quite nice, just not as spectacular as THE Falls.) Little tiny blue butterflies. Lichen.

Got the Labrador Newfoundland sticker on the van.

The woods was covered with lichen.

When I took this picture I didn't realize this was the Churchill Falls. The river use to be very wide before the 2 nod largest hydro electrical plant in. These rocks used to be the bottom of the river bed.

Interesting fungus.

Notice the little tiny blue butterfly. Just the the right there is a cluster of these butterflies that have their wings folded up. They are brown and very well camouflaged.

Another butterfly in flight. It's the little flash of blue on the left side of the bottom rock.

Landing on my sandal.
Happy Valley, NL. Couldn't find a camp ground so ended up staying in the Hotel North parking lot in Goose Bay, NL. Had beer and appetizer in their restaurant. The waitress looks and acts like Dawnell. Quid I Viddy honey brown ale. Cod Augratin. Black Horse lager from St. John's. Rickard's Red an Irish style Ale.

Had Cod Augratin later on and this was by far the best.
