July 1,2015 Five Fisherman Restaurant in Halifax, NS

I made note of this restaurant from an episode of Rudy Maxa's Travels TV show.  What a great find.

Chose two appetizers.  Mussels in white wine and scallops paired with a smooth local brew. I love these seafood experiences.

A perfect day to dine outside and listen to the Irish folk music playing across the street.  The hostess is the young lady wearing the longer white sweater over a burgundy dress.  She offered to take us upstairs where there had been a temporary morgue set up for the Titanic victims and the victims of the Halifax Explosion.

This was the morgue room.

Notice the pretty stained glass windows.

This is the picture of the five fishermen that the restaurant is named for.  They all perished in a fishing accident.  The owner of the pictures offered them to the person who started the restaurant and said that he would give the photos to him if the restaurant was named "Five Fishermen "
